Walton EMC is one of 36 Georgia electric cooperatives that form Green Power EMC, a cooperative that uses "green" resources like wind, solar, low-impact hydro, and biomass energies to generate electricity.

Since 2003, Green Power EMC has generated more than 100 million kilowatt-hours of green energy, providing the same environmental benefits as taking 100,000 cars off Georgia's roads, or planting 135,000 acres of trees.
